Story- Full version
There was once a little boy called Damien who wonders about everything under the Sun. Why is the moon round? Why is the Sun yellow? Why is the Sea blue? There were endless questions that no one in the village could answer. One day, he decided to find the answers himself. He packed his belongings into a little bag and off he goes, in search for an answer.
He walked further and further away from his village, till his house became like a tiny little dot. He walks alongside the riverbank, slowly yet happily. It was so hot in the noon that Damien sat down under a tree and began eating the favourite cake which he brought. Suddenly Damien heard a soft voice coming from the ground “Hey, are you looking for a part of you too?”
Damien looked down, and saw a little stone speaking to him. Damien lamented back: “Are you talking to me? What do you mean by looking for a part of me?” The stone replied “There was this evil man who threw me into the sea. I hit the rocks and fell unconscious and when I woke up I lost a part of me. Hence I began looking for my missing piece since then. When I saw you, I thought you were also looking for a missing thing.” Damien said that he was only looking for answers to his endless questions. Damien looked down at the stone, and realised that the stone has indeed a chipped off part. He decided to bring the little stone with him. And so, Damien walked on, with the little stone in his pocket.
Along the way, they saw a lot of chipped off stones but none could fit the little stone perfectly. There were big pieces, small pieces, round pieces but none that could fit.
Finally, Damien found a piece of stone that looks like it could fit and it did. Damien was overjoyed and felt happy for the little stone. However, the little stone said it felt weird that the missing piece is back in place. The little stone did not like being a whole once again. And so, Damien threw away the newly found piece of stone and the little stone had a gaping hole once again. Despite that, the little stone smiled and seemed to look contented.
The search for his missing piece had ended. Although he had found the answer and his missing piece but he realised that he was happier being incomplete. Upon knowing all these, Damien realised that his quest for answers may end up in a similar way. Answers may not be the most important thing, it is the process of finding the answers to your question that is important.
Damien left the little stone and went back to his village. He missed his family, friends and his mum’s cooking. Damien believes that when he grows up and goes to school, he may get the answers to his questions. However whenever Damien feels bored, he will still go down to the riverbank and chat for hours.

Assignment 5
Design 1: The heart is situated at the centre. I see the problem of the heart not being in the correct postion when anyone turns the card so I came up with the design 2.
Design 2: There are 4 hearts in the centre, and they look like a flower. So no matter how you turn, the coorect shapes is still facing the person.
This is the design on the other side=)Monday, February 19, 2007
Assignment 2: Needful Things- Making images talk

2) I drew this human angel using Photoshop. The details like the hands and the pattern on the edge of the robe is included.
3) The design is simplify by taking out some details like the hands.

5) This is a further reduction from the previous one.Everything is just distinct shapes.
6) The final version. I thought of having wings only as its abstract enough. Wings can be those of birds. After much consideration i included the halo too, since it is a distinct feature os an angel.Assignment 1: Me Myself and I

Design 2: Stars look good with moon? So I decided to give the alphabets a "moony" shaped. But this looks kinda kiddish. haha...
Design 3: Inculcated buildings into the whole night scene, thought this design looks special cause its not only stars and moons like the other designs.

Version 2. In case you din notice, the stars are in yellow! But I dun think its good to have both the stars and the windows in yellow, as the stars will steal the limelight from the windows...

My final product=) I've got comments to change the stars into white colour instead, watcha think?

Assignment 1: Me Myself and I
I feel that this assignment is really interesting as I get to play around with my name=)
And the first thing that came into my mind is to draw TV! yup, teleision set=) cause I'm a TV(shows) fanatic! haha...anyway so here's the 4 phototypes:
Design 1: I thought of just placing TV sets into block letters. I like the "L" shape the most as I think its pretty interesting! But its gets really hard when I tried to draw the screen within the other letters.
Design 2: Instead of placing TV sets on letters, I decided to put the letters inside the TV sets instead!=) I quite like this design as I think it gives people a classic feeling. What's a better way then have actual TV sets to bring out the theme?=)
Design3: I thought of changing the shapes of the TV sets by having the shapes of the letters instead. The letter "L" was an attempt to integrate itself into a TV set.
I tried playing with the shape of the TV and to give it a funky look, I decided to go with GREEN for the colouring. But the marker pens which i used did not do justice to the design=/
My FINAL design=) what do you think?
